Dementia - Learning Disability “The course was pitched at the right level for all to understand. The course was particularly relevant to service users within our group.”

Dementia is more common in people who have Down’s syndrome. Those with other learning disabilities are 5 times more of developing dementia than the general population. Dementia can be a difficult condition to diagnose without any other co-existing problems. Any unnecessary delays will affect their well-being. This 3 hour course is designed for those involved in the care of people with a learning disability to enable them to spot the early signs of dementia and have confidence they are providing the most appropriate, up to date care for them.
